Cast 2010/2011

Dann poste ich's hier auch mal, kommen ja bestimmt noch ein paar mehr Infos dazu....

Recently celebrated as the Best Musical of the Decade by Entertainment Weekly magazine, WICKED London is proud to launch its 2010-11 cast with the news that Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman will be taking over the West End’s most sought after leading lady roles of Elphaba and Glinda.

Irish WICKED fans may recognise Belfast born Rachel Tucker from her time co-presenting BBC Northern Ireland’s The Friday Show with Eamonn Holmes. But Rachel is no stranger to the world of musical theatre, having just finished playing Meat in the Queen/Ben Elton musical We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre and also reaching the semi-finals of the hugely popular BBC1 series I'd Do Anything! In fact, Rachel is no stranger to the Land of Oz either, having played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at Belfast's Lyric Theatre, for which she won a TMA Theatre Award nomination for 'Best Actress in a Musical'! OZMOPOLITAN will be catching-up with Rachel in a few weeks to see what it feels like to be revisiting Oz and seeing it from a slightly different angle!

Louise Dearman will be joining WICKED fresh from her much acclaimed portrayal of Eva Peron in the UK national tour of Evita. Louise's new role as Glinda will mark her return to the West End having previously appeared in Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre. Louise is also about to finish playing opposite musical theatre legend Mickey Rooney in the title role of Cinderella!

Amidst all the excitement of welcoming Rachel and Louise, we will also be bidding a much beloved farewell to our current leading ladies and celebrated Women of the Future Awards winners, Alexia Khadime (Elphaba) and Dianne Pilkington (Glinda). Na dann hat sich die Frage, ob ich im April zu Wicked in London gehe, gelöst. JA! :D

also rachel spricht mich ehrlich gesagt nicht wirklich an.
abe rich lass mich mal überraschen vielleicht singt sie
ja auch total hammer und sie hat am schluss mehr
fans als kerry :) dianne und oliver werd ich echt vermissen *schnief*
ich meine diannes stimme, so piepsig sie auch ist, ist einfach nicht
ersetzbar und oliver war ja eh der beste fiyero ever :hexe3:
weiß jemand was oli nach "wicked" machen wird ?
(außer natürlich zu versuchen seinen hund zu bändigen* )

keine ahnung. aber ich glaub damit ist er erst mal ne zeit lang beschäftigt....
nein im ernst, ich hab noch nichts gehört.
und ich werd dianne auch vermissen. ja, sie hat ne gewöhnungsbedürftige stimme aber... ich find/fand sie toll!

Hmmm... Jetzt mal rein optisch gesehen. Findet ihr nicht auch, dass die Louise eher nicht zur Glinda passt? Mag ja sein,da ss ie mit Make up und Kostüm wieder ganz anders wirkt aber aufd dem Bild wirkt sie mir etwas zu "alt" und erwachsen. Für mich muss ne Glinda kindlicher aussehen.

also ich find beide optisch schonmal sehr passend!

ich find grad louise ganz passend als glinda. fast so 'n bisl wie ne etwas ältere kathrin taylor (ohne jetz irgend wem zu nahe treten zu wollen). Und vor allem passen die beiden auch ganz gut zusammen. da glaub ich is kein großer altersunterschied. is ja auch nicht ganz unwichtig.

dito ganz meine meinung.. und sie wirken sau sympatisch auf mich!
